Round 2 Kids opened its doors in 2012 and has been family-owned ever since. 

Kara Mayner grew the store to what it is today. She was not only eager to join the Cuyahoga Falls community, but she was excited about the close proximity to Cafe O' Play, which is well-known locally for their huge indoor playground for kids and their amenities for parents.

By leveraging her first-hand experiences in motherhood, Kara strived to build a store that could serve the local community with quality pre-loved children's clothing, toys, and equipment for years to come.  

One area that Kara was really passionate about was natural parenting so she made sure to keep the store stocked with cloth diapers, amber teething necklaces, baby-wearing options, and BPA-free dishware to name just a few items. 

She knew how important family bonding was and took advantage of any opportunity to do so by holding events like arts and crafts activities and even toy testing for new lines. 

At the end of 2018, Kara recognized that her schedule had to accommodate her growing family's expanding interests and her desire to be present for them in these developmental years.  In short, it was time to pass Round 2 into the hands of someone who could continue to grow with it.

It seemed like a natural fit to ask her cousin and friend, Mary Testa if she would be interested in taking over. Mary had been helping out in the store for several years and understood the reputation the store carried. 

Mary, also a mother and local to the community was excited and made it her personal mission to make sure that the transition would be seamless for customers.

At the end of 2018, the store switched hands and Mary became the proud owner of Round 2 Kids. 

Mary's personal mission is to preserve the existing values and foundation at the forefront of the way she will continue to run the store. 

She loves Round 2 Kids, seeing and spending time with visitors, and learning how she can make the store better for the community.  She is eager to continue serving generations of mothers, fathers, and grandparents with quality pre-loved items.
